Read these rules carefully. You'll be asked a question about them while registering, to prove that you have actually read them.

General Rules
No chatspeak allowed. If you're going to put effort into a roleplay site, then you can put in enough effort to spell out your words. In OOC it's alright to use things like 'brb', 'lol', 'lmao', 'gtg', etc, but chatspeak is completely forbidden in-character.

This site is not going to label itself as 'literate' or 'advanced'. However, we do expect good quality in both your profiles and your posts. Proper grammar, punctuation and common sense go a long way. If your application is riddled with errors, you will get denied. Posts are required to be at least two paragraphs long. A paragraph consists at least of four lines.

Swearing is allowed. Don't like it? Get over it. Mature themes (such as violence, gore and sexuality) are also allowed. However, if things get too graphic, put a warning in the title. If you don't like gore or violence or other such "mature themes", approach those threads with caution.

Respect other members. If your intent is to cause trouble, then you'd best leave now. You must respect others, their choices, and their views. Yes, discussions are allowed, but the minute things get personal, the discussion must stop. Also, don't let in-character arguments lead to out-of-character drama.

Racism, sexism and any type of discrimination OOC is not allowed. Any form of discrimination will result in discipline and possible banning, depending on the offense. In-character, however, such things are of course allowed. We do not wish to ban certain character types.

Character Rules
Characters should be adults. Faero has mature themes, and children simply do not fit in with the general theme.

The magic word to register is 'tigershark'.

Characters should wear appropriate clothing. This is a setting where the outside world is dangerous, so a pink tutu isn't exactly the best outfit to brave it in.

Mary-Sues will be shot. We are not interested in perfect characters. Often it is not what your character's strengths that make for interesting RP, but their flaws.

Don't "Japanize" your character. If you absolutely must use a Japanese name for your character, make them an actual Japanese character..

Keep dramatic pasts to a minimum. We are not looking for a roleplay site full of wangsty characters who lost their parents in a traumatic incident. Having a background that isn't all rainbows and kittens is perfectly understandable (we don't want backgrounds like that any more than we want extremely traumatic ones), but going overboard to the point of being ridiculous is just not interesting.

Do not powerplay your character. You are not the greatest trainer to wander the world, nor are your characters Pokémon going to be captured fiercely loyal. Let things evolve and grow over time, don't try to make your character seem far more important than they are.

Pokémorphs are currently -not allowed-, as they are reserved for a later plot.

Pokémon Specific Rules
Pokémon are not happy about being captured. Make it show in their personality. Do not make Pokémon who love to hug or cuddle their trainer, as this is not what they are like. Pokémon focus on instincts a lot, and despise being captured, so they are likely to disobey orders and may even turn on their trainer. Only after weeks or even months of cooperation may they take a liking to their "master."

Pokémon understand human speech, but do not speak it. Trainers do not understand the growls, chirps or other verbal communications of Pokémon, at least not enough to understand the exact meanings. As a result, communication between the two parties is inherently difficult.
